Our paper Integrating Planning and Deep Reinforcement Learning via Automatic Induction of Task Substructures is accepted by ICLR 2024.

Research Highlight

My research explores how human and machine develop the ability to interact, solve problems, and adapt to novel environments, centering on concept learning and representation: How do concepts emerge and evolve regardless of their origin (i.e., neural architectures or neural-symbolic models)? How do agents acquire and leverage them for reasoning and problem solving?

I aim to build machines capable of compositional, generalizable concept learning from few-shot examples and efficient, adaptive inference at test time. I also investigate the unified space of cognition, and the fundamental differences between humans and machines in representation and processing.
